If you think about beliefs as often repeated thoughts, or the repeating of something stated by another as truth, you quickly see that beliefs can become malleable, especially over time.

It is one thing to "Believe" another's data. It is quite another to "Know" for yourself. You can tell me what you believe, and yet, I'm even more interested in what you have come to know through your own life experiences and research. And, even experiences change as one digs deeper, because what one gives attention to directs them to more in support of that focus.

Some think, "Turn the other cheek", means to be willing to be slapped around repeatedly, and others as, "Turn away from what you don't prefer, and direct your attention to what you do prefer." Where's your attention?
